This pair of 1960s Levi’s 501s is most likely a Big E example, identified by its selvedge construction, lack of care label stamp on the inner pocket, factory button stamp “6”. The combination of yellow pocket stitching with orange arcuates is typical of late ’60s production. With no signs of the post Big E features, these jeans sit firmly in the Big E era, making them a highly collectible piece of denim history.
